Files you convert
When you use a converter, your file is sent to our server, converted in memory and sent straight back to your browser. Krinkl does not keep a copy, does not store it in an account and does not use its content for anything else.
Accounts
Creating an account is optional and does not unlock any feature yet. If you create one, your email address and a hashed password, or the name and email address Google shares if you sign in with Google, are stored by our authentication provider, Supabase, Inc., which processes them on our behalf. We use them only to let you sign in. You can ask us to delete your account at any time by writing to [email protected].
Audience measurement
We count visits with Datalenk in its cookieless mode: nothing is written on your device, neither a cookie nor local storage. Page views are counted on the server, which groups the pages of one visit using your IP address and browser type, without following you on other sites. Browsers that send a Do Not Track signal are not counted.
Datalenk is operated by GTA Go To Agency SAS, a French company, and is used here in its default mode. Its data is hosted in Germany by Hetzner and never leaves the European Union. The detail of each visit is kept for 25 months, then permanently deleted.
Cookies
Krinkl sets one cookie to remember your language (NEXT_LOCALE). If you sign in, the authentication cookies needed to keep you signed in are added. There are no advertising or tracking cookies.
Technical data
Like any website, our server and its network provider, Cloudflare, process technical data such as your IP address, the date and the page requested, in order to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to its use, and to receive it in a portable format, by writing to [email protected]. You can also lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority (www.cnil.fr).
